The Swift Harvest workflow provides near-instant financial transactions and transparency, on a global basis.
The existing Alfalfa industry workflow is cumbersome and inefficient with many friction points that create opportunities for human error, adding cost to the process. Trust is a big issue with duplicate testing carried out by multiple individuals at each point in the transaction process. While many workflow problems are the result of human error, there are inherent inefficiencies with the current model which can be eliminated with the appropriate application of Blockchain and other technologies to update and rationalize existing industry practice.
Alfalfa growers must know the quality of their alfalfa in order to accurately estimate its value and formulating a realistic asking price. In the current workflow, producers, brokers, and buyers, all perform separate quality analysis tests to determine the quality of the alfalfa and thus, understand its value. Enabling access to the testing data collected at the stack by Swift Harvest, to producers, brokers, and buyers will reduce friction in the workflow, increase availability and reduce the workload assumed by the grower. It will also greatly reduce the time between, harvesting the alfalfa and getting paid for it.
Additionally, the Swift Harvest system will collect data that will enable improvements in crop yields, further cementing the relationships between the system and the producers.
We believe these feature sets to be superior to the current workflow. A series of press releases and appearances at multiple Agricultural, Export, and Blockchain events starting in October of 2018 is planned. We will also be able to spread the word using the online portal located at https://SwiftHarvest.com.
